I am in the fourth week of my poetry class and in this time, I have fallen in love with his work. "The Road Not Taken" is my overall favorite but I also highly enjoy "Acquaintence with the Night." The symbolization that evokes from his poems is the first characteristic I noticed and I as read more and more of his work, I came to the realization that Robert Frost is indeed in a class of his own. |

I am preparing a paper for an English class. We had to read several stories and poems by a variety of 20th century authors. I was thrilled to find a couple of Robert Frost's poems; 1st because I was born and raised in NH, so I have always enjoyed his work; 2nd I live in south Texas which is about as different an environment as one could get from New England! This has been great to look over his work and refresh myself about his life. |

I love this site!! Read about it in the newspaper. Have admired Frost's works for many years, and have visited his gravesite in Bennington, VT. often. Years ago, I wrote down, "The Road Not Taken" and mailed it to my daughter in school at New England Deaconess Hospital and the student nurses had it on the first page of their yearbooks, which made me very happy. I'm so glad I found your site. I was rereading a Frost book "Come in and Other Poems" which the author had given me in 1943, when I thought I'd see what I could find about Frost on the internet. Robert Frost had come to my school in Philadelphia, PA to read to us. Being the school poet, I was assigned to show him around the campus. Frost's "lesser known" poems are becoming quite popular! In fact, the only reason I stopped in is because of the monster.com commercial they play on TV. It's good to see this site. There are few search results for his work. Its literally one in a million. |
